Cup of Joy

Cup of Joy is a nondenominational Women’s Bible study that has been meeting in Fallbrook since the 1990’s. We meet from September through mid-December and January through mid-May. SonRise serves as our Study’s current host, with our ladies gathering in the Wilson Center on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Our curriculum is written by retired pastor Art Blodgett, who has also served as our group’s Bible study leader since 2017. The lessons are a verse-by-verse interactive Study of Scripture, with our time on Wednesday mornings being structured as follows: The first 15 minutes is announcements and singing. The lesson of the day
is then taught and discussed from 9:15 to 10:15. A 15-minute break then follows for refreshments, and then we break into small groups for further discussion, fellowship, and prayer from 10:30 to 11:00. Since 2017, Cup of Joy has studied The Sermon on the Mount, Romans, Acts, 1 and 2 Peter, and 1 and 2 Timothy. Since October 6, 2021, we have been working our way through Psalms, completing Psalm 124 just before our 2025 summer break.
Since we are looking forward to completing Psalms by Christmas, we are now beginning to prayerfully explore which book of the Bible we are going to study next. For more information about Cup of Joy, please contact Janny Ligtenberg at janny.martine@gmail.com.
